The DU Fowler Vest is part of Tom Beckbe's Ducks Unlimited collaboration, designed for those who spend their days in the field. This durable, weatherproof waxed cotton vest is quilted with revolutionary HD Wool, a naturally breathable insulation made with wool (75%) and compostable biopolymers (25%) that helps your body regulate temperature. Built with all the proven durability and technical features that Tom Beckbe waxed outerwear is known for, the DU Fowler Vest thrives when the temperature in the field plunges.

Designed with the waterfowl hunter in mind, the DU Fowler Vest features an 8.25 ounce waxed cotton shelter cloth outer shell that provides reliable protection from the elements while developing a rich patina with wear. A streamlined, hoodless design provides enhanced mobility for active days in the field, while the horizontal quilting pattern adds a refined, updated aesthetic.

Oversized front handwarmer pockets are lined with soft, warm moleskin. Front bellow pockets provide ample storage for shells and other essentials. The interior has three pockets, including one with a zipper closure to keep valuables secure. A liner inspired by Alabama red clay adds a touch of color to the interior, and a collar stand lined with soft corduroy provides welcome protection from the cold. Durable antique brass hardware snaps and two-way main zipper.

The front length of the vest from high point shoulder is 27.5" for size Medium. For Tall sizes, add 2" to the total length.

Care instructions: 

Your garment's thin waxed coating resists liquids and makes it relatively easy to clean. Waxed cotton should not be machine washed or dry cleaned and should be kept away from hot water and harsh detergents that will remove the wax coating. When spots occur, use a damp rag or soft bristle brush to gently buff out the stained area. If spots are particularly stubborn, use a castile soap and rinse with lukewarm water. Re-wax the area with our reproofing wax and hang to air dry in a warm place.

Generally, rinse dirt and debris by hand with cold water and air dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not use artificial heat to dry, expose to open flames, or hang on radiators.
